How to Apply for WSCC Scholarships:
To be eligible for WSCC scholarship consideration, you must be an admitted student with an A#. This process requires you to log in with your Single Sign-On (SSO) alabama.edu credentials (Axxxxxxxx@alabama.edu). Click the button below to begin the process of applying for WSCC scholarships.

The WSCC Scholarship application process will adhere to the following timeline:
November 1, 2024 | Scholarship application opens |
March 1, 2025 | Scholarship application closes (11:59pm Central Time) |

WSCC Scholarship Opportunities:
Below you will find further information on scholarships offered by Wallace State Community College. Carefully read the requirements for the scholarship for which you are applying. Please note that these scholarships are for the 2025-26 academic year.
Presidential Scholarships
- • Available to students majoring in an academic program of study.
- • ACT Composite Score + GPA must equal 30 (no rounding)
- • Covers the cost of up to 16 credit hours per semester (for no more than 4 consecutive semesters)
- • Based on a combination of the ACT composite score, the cumulative grade point average, completed scholarship application, and personal mission statement
- • Must maintain a 3.0 GPA per semester at WSCC to retain scholarship.
Leadership Scholarships
- • Available to students majoring in an academic program of study.
- • ACT Composite Score + GPA must equal 24 (no rounding)
- • Valued at $1,250 per semester for up to 4 consecutive semesters.
- • Based on a combination of the ACT composite score, cumulative grade point average, completed scholarship application, personal mission statement, and documentation of outstanding leadership and community service (up to 10 activities to be listed on the application – no attachments)
- • Must maintain a 3.0 GPA per semester at WSCC to retain scholarship.
Allied Health & Nursing Scholarships
- • Available to students majoring in health care programs at WSCC and are valued at $1500 per semester.
- • Based on the ACT composite score, cumulative grade point average (3.0 or better), involvement in clubs and organizations, and/or volunteer experience in a health-care environment.m
- • If your chosen program requires a minimum ACT score, your ACT score must be equal to or exceed the required minimum score.
- • All Allied Health and Nursing Scholarship recipients must meet all admissions criteria for the chosen program of study.
- • Scholarships will be voided if the student is not pursuing an Allied Health major.
- • Must maintain a 3.0 GPA per semester while receiving this scholarship.
Academic Excellence Scholarships
- • Available to students majoring in an academic program of study.
- • ACT Composite Score + GPA must equal 27 (no rounding)
- • Valued at $1,500 per semester for up to 4 consecutive semesters.
- • Based on a combination of the ACT composite score, the cumulative grade point average, completed scholarship application, and personal mission statement
- • Must maintain a 3.0 GPA per semester at WSCC to retain scholarship.
Performing Arts Scholarships
- • Awarded through an audition process and the amount awarded varies.
- • Auditions are held during the spring semester – Contact the Music Department at (256) 352-8277 for specific dates and application procedures.
- • Must maintain a 2.5 GPA per semester while receiving this scholarship.
Career Technical Scholarships
- • Available to students majoring in a technical program of study at WSCC and the amount awarded varies.
- • Based on a combination of the ACT composite score, the cumulative grade point average, completed scholarship application, personal mission statement, and technical achievement.
- • If awarded a scholarship, you must take 75% of your classes in your major program of study per semester. Additional academic classes may be taken toward an A.A.S. degree in the technical program.
- • Scholarships will be voided if the student is not pursuing a Career Technical major.
- • Must maintain a 3.0 GPA per semester while receiving this scholarship.

Important Information
- Scholarships are offered on a competitive basis and are NOT guaranteed based on minimum requirements in each category. Submission of a scholarship application does not guarantee awarding.
- This scholarship application cannot be saved. It is encouraged that you log in to review the required items and then come back to start and submit in another session.
- Scholarships are only applied to Fall and Spring terms.
Requirements
- To be considered for WSCC scholarships, your application must be complete and submitted by the March 1 deadline.
- Student must be a U.S. citizen to qualify for a WSCC scholarship.
- Before a scholarship can be awarded, an official transcript including high school graduation date must be on file at WSCC.
- Students must have a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) on file to be awarded the scholarship. The FAFSA year must match the academic year of the desired entry term (i.e., 2025-26 FAFSA for starting in August 2025). The FAFSA Code for Wallace State Community College is 007871.
